Woodchurch Partnership
Big Yellow Bus Community Consultation Outcomes: June 09
1. Introduction
Volunteers from the Woodchurch Partnership conducted a community consultation exercise on Saturday 20th June, which was known as the “Big Yellow Bus Consultation”. The reason for this was the presence of the Consultation Bus, lent to us for the occasion by Royds Community Consultation (thanks to the support from Woodchurch Neighbourhood Management Partnership).
We parked the bus opposite Hoole Rd shops and this acted as the focal point for our activity We also undertook a “door knocking” exercise to canvass the views of those who did not pass the big yellow bus. In this respect the consultation was conducted in the following areas.
Our consultation was based around the conduct of guided interviews, The specific questions asked where around the following three areas:
1. What do you feel is good about living in Woodchurch?
2. What are your three priorities for Woodchurch?
3. How do you want to see Woodchurch changed over the next five years?
We completed 168 interviews with residents of the Woodchurch area. The results of those conversations are presented in turn in the following sections against each of areas of questioning.
It should be noted that the number of responses in each section do not always correspond to 168 as not all respondents provided answers to all questions or gave three priorities.
